• “It’s the same as I said before: if it’s predetermined it’s predeterminable. If I’m ‘fated’ to die in a car accident when I’m 19 and I find out about that ‘fate,’ I can change it. I can spend the whole year away from cars in some remote village in Africa, or I could even kill myself ahead of time. The point being, either way, the fated event doesn’t happen. Fate loses.” I shrug. “I mean, that’s just my opinion.”
